Editorial policy
This policy explains how Veridian Research sources, verifies, labels and corrects the content in its reference library.
What sources does Veridian Research use?
Veridian Research writes its compound summaries and comparisons from peer-reviewed primary literature: original studies, clinical trial reports and reviews indexed in PubMed or carrying a DOI. Vendor marketing, forums and unsourced claims are not used as sources. Each factual claim about a study names the study, and each reference lists its authors, title, journal, year and identifier.
How are citations verified?
Every PubMed ID in the library is checked against the PubMed record it points to, and every DOI against PubMed or Crossref, by an automated check that compares the cited title with the indexed title. A reference that cannot be matched to the paper it claims to cite is corrected from the indexed record or removed; it is never kept as an unverified identifier. The check is re-run whenever the library changes.
How is the strength of evidence labelled?
Each compound summary separates human clinical trials from preclinical work in cell cultures and animals, and counts only human studies when it states a number of human trials. Where no human trial has been published, the page says so explicitly. Findings are reported in the past tense and attributed to the study that produced them.
What does Veridian Research not publish?
The reference library does not give dosing recommendations, administration instructions or claims that a compound treats, cures or improves any condition. The materials Veridian Research supplies are for laboratory research use only and are not approved for human or veterinary use; reference pages describe what published research measured, not how anyone should use a compound.
How often is content reviewed?
Each compound page shows the date its content was last reviewed, and that date changes only when the content does. Certificate pages carry the laboratory's test date, which never changes once issued. Articles on regulatory developments carry their publication date.
How do I report an error?
Email support@veridianbio.com with the page address and the correction, ideally with the source that supports it. Verified errors are corrected on the page and in the machine-readable files that mirror it (llms.txt and llms-full.txt).
